The infographic has been designed to communicate its message in a way that can be easily understood by the general public. Hence, to minimise cognitive requirements, it contains identifiable elements, that can be easily recognised by viewers as real-world objects.
Eye catching design, animated data visualisations, interactive data graphic, narrative structure and call to action, have been used to increase viewers’ engagement, and thus make the message more impactful. As a result, the infographic provides a valuable source of easily digestible visual information that can be understood even by schoolchildren.
