By Jaya Sharma Digital Design Final Year Project 2018/2019
GameCloud is all about connecting children and parents together through social gaming.
The main aim of this project is to close the gap that has been bridged by technology between a child and parent in an innovative way. In order to demonstrate the achievement of the stated aim, I created an educational (cloud based) game platform app prototype which facilities interactive assessments. I wanted to improve accessibility of the parent and child bond through educational games and for them to have meaningful time together through learning.
The use of mobile phones has become a norm for the younger generation. A child predominately prefers being alone with a device in their hand and the bond shared between child-parents is fading away. This theory sparked the creation for my final year project. I designed the application Game Cloud aiming to close the gap that’s been bridged by technology between a child and parent in an innovative way. The brand-gaming prototype (which can be viewed on InVision) hosts several interactive games on one server allowing users to play endless educational games. The app’s purpose is to show users that learning can be fun for young children and parents can be apart of their development. Alongside the app, I created a short promotional video to promote the app.
